Opportunities

Are you an artist?

Might you enjoy teaching and have infinite patience?    We are looking for an artist who could spend one or two half days in our activity centre working alongside residents who would like to take their interest in art a little further than the everyday.

Are you patient and enjoy and challenge?
Volunteers needed to support outings and activities for residents with dementia

Esther, our activities co-ordinator in the Dementia unit, would love some help on a Wednesday afternoon from 1.30pm onwards.  She is planning outings or activities with her residents, all of whom have more advanced dementia, but who love some one to one attention.   In return you could make rewardng relationships by spending time with people who have had full and active lives and who would enjoy the personal attention a skilled volunteer could offer.

Physiotherapy Department

Wednesday Walks

Every Wednesday afternoon at 2pm a group of residents who like to go for a walk are accompanied by a physiotherapist and a volunteer.  Would you be interested in helping?  We need one to one support and volunteers who would enjoy the challenge of working with people who have varying needs.

Shop

Enjoy retail?

Our shop is open everyday Sunday to Thursday from 1.30 -4pm and on a Friday morning from 9.30-12midday.  We are looking for some new volunteers to help man the shop once or twice a month. This is a post for volunteers who can commit to a rota and who don't mind working on their own.

If you would like to volunteer at Nightingale just download, complete and return as indicated our volunteer application below.   We look forward to hearing from you.
