Ranked as ‘Excellent’ by our independent regulator, the care and clinical services which we offer to residents is, as ever, our major priority. We understand the complexities of old age and how these are expected to change and develop in the coming years. We have embarked on a major building programme, as a consequence of which the first of our upgraded facilities was opened in September 2011.
We are also committed to a person centred model of care and have commenced a major training programme with the acclaimed Dementia Department of Bradford University to ensure that all of our staff have been trained in the very latest thinking in person centred care.
Nightingale offers the same level of personal care that a relative would provide. Our team of carers ensures that each individual receives attention all day, every day.
Residents benefit from an in-house GP surgery, pharmacy and pharmacist, regular on-site visits from audiologists, chiropodists, dentists, opticians and a dedicated team of doctors. Most of the residents’ advanced caring needs can be dealt with in the comfort of their own room.
We are fortunate to have our own Therapy Department, with an expert team which provides physiotherapy and occupational therapy treatments, as well as gentle exercise/movement and balance programmes to improve residents’ mobility and reduce the risk of injuries.
We prioritise applications for care from the Refugee and Survivor communities.
